Cathy Humphreys was the Alfred Felton Chair in Child and Family Welfare. This Chair was funded by the Alfred Felton Trust to support the collaboration between the School of Social Work at The University of Melbourne and Community Sector Organisations (CSOs) through the Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare.

Cathy's research interests included: Domestic and Family Violence; Research Utilisation; Child and Family Welfare; Risk and Safety Assessment; Mental Health and Problematic Substance Use as it Relates to Domestic Violence and Child Protection.
