Australian Association of Social Workers

The Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) sets the national standards for social work curriculum and practice within Australia. It accredits social work programs in Australian universities on a regular basis. As well as ensuring the educational requirements for social work practice, the AASW publishes the major national social work journal, Australian Social Work, contributes to policy debates, and ensures the ethical standards of the profession are maintained.
