Research Units

The Research Units at present are:

The Ageing and Long Term Care Policy and Practice Research Unit. Established in 1994, the Unit is carrying out applied research into service utilization patterns in aged and disability services.

The Alfred Felton Research Program was established in 2006, with the inaugural appointment of Professor Cathy Humphreys as the Alfred Felton Chair. The Program researches in the Social Work fields of Family and Domestic Violence and Children and Families.

The Inequality, Social Justice and Social Policy Research Unit was established in 2006, and researches the underlying causes and consequences of inequality.

The Trauma and Resilience Research Unit was established in 2005, and brings together work across a number of fields of social work practice, focusing on psychosocial experiences of adversity and adaptation for individuals, families and communities.
